You don’t need to know the diagnosis before you start.

If you have questions about your child’s development, learning, attention, behavior, or social-emotional well-being, a comprehensive evaluation can help bring the pieces together.

Little Constellations provides individualized neurodevelopmental evaluations for children and adolescents ages 1–17 in South Denver, serving families across Colorado.

What are you trying to understand?

Families may come to us with all kinds of questions. Sometimes a doctor, therapist, or teacher has raised a specific concern. Other times, you simply know your child is struggling and want to understand why. You don’t have to figure that out on your own before reaching out.

Autism Evaluations

If you have questions about autism, we can look closely at your child’s social engagement, communication, sensory processing, behaviors, and individual strengths.

We strive to answer those clear 'yes or no' questions and help families understand why their child might be experiencing the world differently and determine what support will help them thrive.

ADHD & Executive Functioning

Attention challenges can look different from one child to another. Some children present with overt hyperactivity, while others show fewer outward signs, often flying under the radar as they find creative ways to manage or mask their inattentive difficulties.

We evaluate concerns related to attention, impulsivity, activity level, organization, working memory, planning, and other executive-functioning skills while also considering what else may be contributing.

Learning & Academic Differences

When a child is struggling with reading, writing, math, memory, or overall academic performance, a comprehensive evaluation can help identify what is getting in the way.

We look at both learning challenges and your child’s cognitive strengths to develop a clearer picture of how they learn best.

Developmental & Other Concerns

Sometimes the concern doesn’t fit neatly into one category.

A comprehensive evaluation can explore developmental delays, cognitive abilities, adaptive functioning, emotional and behavioral concerns, and other factors that may be affecting your child at home, at school, or in everyday life.

Not sure which category fits? That’s okay.

You don’t need to know exactly what kind of evaluation your child needs before reaching out. We’ll start by listening to what you’re seeing and determine the next step together.

We don’t use a one-size-fits-all testing approach.

Every child is different, so every evaluation should be different too.

Instead of putting every child through the same predetermined set of tests, we build the evaluation around your child, your concerns, and the questions we’re trying to answer.

Depending on your child’s needs, we may look at areas such as cognitive abilities, attention and executive functioning, academic skills, social communication, emotional and behavioral functioning, and adaptive skills.
